The Kappa Scholars Banquet began in 1987. Its purpose is to recognize minority students in Wake County High schools that have maintained a “B” average or better during the school year. Over the years, the Kappa Charitable Trust fund, Inc. has honored over 13,000 students through the Kappa Scholars initiative.
