THE KAPPA CENTER IS GENERALLY OPEN ON MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY EVENINGS FROM 6:00 - 8:00 PM FOR APPOINTMENT ONLY TOURS, MANUAL RENTAL BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS BY MONEY ORDER OR CERTIFIED CHECK; PLEASE CALL (919-609-8023) OR EMAIL (RENTALS@KAPPACTF.ORG) TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT DURING THIS TIME.

The Kappa Center is available for private events and meetings, including general seminar events, business meetings, worship services, closed list parties, dances, weddings and receptions, among others.

  • Rental Options of the facility includes the founders room, diamond room and our courtyard. 

  • The kitchen is adequate for light meal warming / preparation. A microwave and a refrigerator are included during the rental period.

The facility is available for daily rental, however, a rental may not extend beyond 1:00 AM.

Tables and chairs are available :

  • Tables – 12 round (60”) tables and 5 rectangular (96”) tables

  • Chairs – 125 white meeting chairs

 

STANDARD RENTAL RATES*

Entire Facility

  • WHOLE – $1200 [seven (8) consecutive hours]

  • HALF – $600 [four (4) consecutive hours]

Outdoor Courtyard

  • WHOLE – $900 [six (6) consecutive hours]

  • HALF – $600 [four (4) consecutive hours]

FOUNDERS ROOM​

  • HOURLY – $50 [one (1), two (2) or four (4) hour rentals]

DIAMOND ROOM​

  • HOURLY – $75 [one (1), two (2) or four (4) hour rentals]

 +  Audio / Visual Package: Temporarily Unavailable [includes projectors, screens, microphone and audio (not a full sound system)]

 +  Late Charge [exceeding contract rental time]:  $50 / quarter hour

 * All standard rates are subject to change or adjustment prior to final reservation / booking / payment in full

** All standard rates for bookings made more than 1 calendar year in advance are subject to change at any time prior to Kappa Center's receipt of full payment for the final reservation

 

DEPOSIT AND RENTAL AGREEMENT; CANCELLATION

To rent The Kappa Center, the Renter must pay a $150 Deposit and submit a Rental Agreement. The Kappa Center is not reserved until the $150 Deposit has been paid and the Rental Agreement has been approved. All Renters must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

The Deposit is NOT a part of the Rental Fee. It is held as a security deposit and will be refunded within fourteen (14) days after the use of the facility provided there are no damages to the building and no additional cleaning is required. The deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation of the event.

THE RENTAL FEE PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF YOUR DEPOSIT DATE. If Renter cancels the event between the date of the Rental Agreement and 60 days before the event date, Renter shall be refunded 50% of the Rental Fee paid. If cancellation is within 60 days before the event date, no refund of any fees whatsoever.

SETUP & CLEANUP TIME | DECORATIONS

The Renter’s set up and cleanup time (decorating, food catering, the band or DJ etc.) is included in the rental time period. Decorations cannot be attached to the walls or doors. No glitter, fine paper crafts, water bubbles or anything similar may be used in The Kappa Center. Decorations must not pose a fire or safety hazard. The Kappa Center management staff members are not required to assist in any set up or cleanup.

TICKET SALES

The Kappa Center cannot be used for any function where tickets are publicly advertised through radio, television or print media or where tickets will be sold at the door, without prior approval from The Kappa Center management.

ALCOHOL / PROHIBITION

Renters are permitted to serve alcohol at The Kappa Center; however, alcohol may NOT be directly SOLD by a Renter to Event patrons at The Kappa Center. The Kappa Center does not permit tobacco use of any kind inside the Facility, possession of illicit drugs any kind, and possession of any weapons, and alcohol consumption outside the Facility in the parking lot or otherwise.

SECURITY

The Kappa Center reserves the right to require police protection for certain events at the Renters expense.

  1. Check Availability of Dates - Visit the online availability calendar HERE.

  2. Reserve Your Date | Pay Deposit - When you are ready to book your event, click HERE to start the booking process and pay your deposit.

  3. Sign Facility Rental Agreement | Pay Rental Fee - Once you receive a confirmation email regarding your scheduled event date and deposit, you will receive instructions on how to sign your Facility Rental Agreement and where to make payment of your Rental Fee. RENTAL FEE PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF YOUR DEPOSIT DATE.
